Sunday Service Canceled February 7th
Due to the severity of the snow storm, all services at Oaklands Church (including ours) will be canceled on Sunday. The church parking lot will not be plowed until Monday or Tuesday. Please consider making your regular tithe or offering electronically by our "Donate" link here on the website. Our expenses continue, even when we are not able to meet for worship. Bible/Book Study
The Christian season of Lent is almost here! Rev. Brian will be leading a Bible/Book Study on Bishop John Shelby Spong's book, "Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism." This five-week study will focus on how we have learned through our various faith backgrounds to read Scripture and how we might take a second look at Scripture to find a fresh and new meaning. The study will be Tuesday or Wednesday evenings starting the week after Ash Wednesday (which is on Feb. 17), depending on the preference of those who sign up. If you are interested, you may sign up on the welcome table in the narthex or e-mail Rev. Brian. Come take this opportunity to grow together in faith!
