Worship Information
Our typical service starts at 6:30 PM, and ends at around 7:30 PM, though services with special events may run slightly longer. We meet at Oaklands Presbyterian Church in Laurel, Maryland.
We worship together in a "blended" style that incorporates elements from our various backgrounds. Members and friends of MCC come from every conceivable Christian tradition, and we make an effort to honor and challenge everyone, every Sunday. We use contemporary Christian praise music, evangelical and "high" church hymns and various celebrations of the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion all to focus our attention on the God who loves us. We use inclusive language in our singing and prayers to acknowledge our many understandings of God as Father/Mother/Creator as represented in the Biblical record. We also attempt to make our worship accessible and enjoyable even to those who have not been in worship for many years, if ever.
