At New Covenant Metropolitan Community Church, our members and friends take an active part in every worship service.
While you are certainly welcome to simply come and worship with us, if you'd like to volunteer for an active role, please
Note that we use the same schedule for each month in the year. So, in the table below, "1st Sunday" represents the first Sunday of each month.
If you are unable to participate on a day you're scheduled for, please attempt to find a replacement. The New Covenant MCC mailing list is an excellent resource for that.

Explanation of Tasks
- Assisting Minister
- Lead the Call to Worship and Prayers of the People
- Lector
- Read the day's Scripture
- Communion Minister
- Assist the Pastor with distribution of the Eucharist
- Exhorter
- Lead Worship and Preach
- Altar Setup
- Set up the altar before Worship
- Host
- Prepare narthex/sanctuary candles, collect offering, usher during Communion
- Accompanist
- Play the piano
- Song leaders
- The choir or other singing leaders
- Board Designee
- Invitation to Stewardship, Count offering, open & close building. Must be a member of the New Covenant MCC Board of Directors.
- Counting Assistant
- A non-member of the Board of Directors to assist in counting the offering
- Fluff & Buff
- Help with light clean-up of the church building after worship services
