Worship Information

Our typical service starts at 6:30 PM and ends by 8 PM. We meet at Oaklands Presbyterian Church in Laurel, Maryland. On your first visit, be sure to pick up a Welcome Home kit which contains details about our church. Please fill out the Let's Get Acquainted form in the kit. We respect your privacy. Only provide details that you wish to share with us on the form or the register pads that we use to keep track of attendance.

We worship together in a "blended" style that incorporates elements from our various backgrounds. Members and friends of MCC come from every conceivable Christian tradition, and we make an effort to honor and challenge everyone, every Sunday. We use contemporary Christian praise music, evangelical and "high" church hymns and various celebrations of the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion all to focus our attention on the God who loves us. We use inclusive language in our singing and prayers to acknowledge our many understandings of God as Father/Mother/Creator as represented in the Biblical record. We also attempt to make our worship accessible and enjoyable even to those who have not been in worship for many years, if ever. If you have any question about any practice in our worship, please feel free to ask the Pastor, or the Music or Worship Coordinators of the Day.
